Skype Tabs - Once you load the Protech Chat App our software will automatically import your top 5 Skype users and create permanent tabs for them. You can setup more tabs at any time by clicking on the address book. Incoming chats automatically open a new chat window as long as a permanent tab does not exist. The small colored balls show the online status of the user.

Chat Tabs Unread - If someone sends you a message and you are not there to see it the chat tab will light up to show you that you have an unread message

Chat Window - Incoming Chats create a window above the tab name and all user communication is done in this window. You can drag the corners of the window to make it larger & windows can be configured to exclude icons, auto close, close on a timer, alternate line colors & more. Configure window settings by clicking on the edit pencil and going to the appearance tab. The address book icon allows you to edit the settings for that one tab user. To the right is a screenshot of the tab window and what a recent chat looks like.

Chat Window Icons - will allow you to change the messaging client, call land lines, call cell phones, call Skype users, Send SMS messages, forward calls, send files, open the message in native Skype, send emoticons, send quick messages & send our Chat App to friends. You can also minimize the tab, open the chat fully and close the tab window completely. To the right is a screenshot of the icon bar at the top of each tab.

Frequent Users Note - Most people chat or call the same people all the time and that is why we automatically import your top 5 contacts when loading our application. Keep in mind that any new chats create a new tab automatically but you can close that tab with the X button at anytime. Also, remember that all call & SMS features are available right from the tabs as well. You can change the settings by clicking on the Edit Pencil on our toolbar and clicking on the Appearance tab
